These young faces are not professional dancers but their passion and dedication is nothing less than professional.
The annual ballroom dance competition for freshmen opened on Thursday night in Zhongnan University of Economics and Law in Wuhan city, central China’s Hubei Province.
The dance Apsaras won first place for its excellent mixture of Chinese culture and ballroom dance styles.
The university has held this event annually for 14 years. For most dancers in the competition, it’s the first time they put on a dancing dress and danced on the big stage, after two months of hard training.
Ballroom dance is a very popular activity for university students in China. Many young people like to make friends in this manner, as well as keep fit through this physical activity.
